Self-Care Products

Happy Saturday Babes!

I’m doing a little Self-Care this Saturday because I have a not-for-profit event tonight and just because I like to take care of myself. I also don’t like to break the bank on the most expensive products, I just want products that really work!!

So here are my favorite products to take care of myself for under $50.00 USD.

POND’S Cold Cream Cleanser: I apply and wipe off with a wet washcloth, and then you don’t even have to rinse after! Which is perfect for a fast morning routine and leaves your skin moitsurized all day (You can also use it as a makeup remover at night) This magic cream/ wash/ moisturizer/ makeup remover (even waterproof mascara!!!) can be snagged at Target, CVS, Walgreens or Amazon for only $3-$5!!! Or order it online HERE

OSEA Blemish Balm: I put it on at night before bed, it’s very lightweight yet effective, moisturizes without causing breakouts, perfect for my combination skin type (it is also organic and vegan) $44.00 Shop it HERE

Uberliss RituOil: I add some to my hair after I wash it to keep it smooth, frizz free and helps protect from thermal damage! I even add a little after styling for fly-aways and shine (it also smells amazing) $35.95 Shop it HERE

Skinvolve Body Karate Cream: Lotion I put on after I shower, or when I need a little extra skin TLC. It has caffeine that helps with circulation and complexion. It helps keep my skin hydrated, toned and smooth. For $39.99 Buy it HERE

Vi Derm Revitalizing Eye Cream: I use it at night before bed and in the morning, under my makeup (just let it dry first.) This eye cream instantly reduces puffy eyes and brightens those dark circles, it supposedly helps with aging too but I can’t attest to that one yet. But the other two, it does very affectively! For $42.50 you can buy it HERE!

Patchology 5 Minute Lip Gels: Some fast acting lip moisturizing action. This 5 minute FlashPatch can be done at the end of the day once your makeup is off or right before you want to put on your makeup, it doesn’t leave a sticky residue!
You can buy a 5 Pack of the FlashPatches for $15.00 HERE!

Cheers Chicago

Those of you who live in Chicago know that we have to make the most of the amazing weather while we got it – and aren’t living in Chiberia!

So I though I would share with you lovelies my favorite outdoor bars and restaurants to soak up the Chicago Sunshine! ( while you can)

1) London House – you can wine and dine but I think their best feature, besides their amazing view, is that they make custom cocktails based on what you like! They whipped me up one of the best spicy margaritas I’ve ever had.

2) Cindy’s Rooftop has the best view of millennium park and the bean, sitting at the top of the Chicago Athletic Association Hotel, and yes yes they do Sunday Brunch!

3) Tanta Chicago in River North, has an adorable rooftop terrace that makes you feel like you are in Europe, with Peruvian flavors. Their Cebieches are perfect for summer tasting while sipping.

Patio Bars

1) Maria’s Packaged Goods – Located in Bridgeport, has some of the most unique cocktails and food (Margaritas and Bourbon with craft Beers meets Korean Polish Street Food.)

2) Big Star – Tacos and Tequila in the heart of Wicker Park. Perfect outdoor patio with strung lights to feel like you are eating and drinking under the stars in the heart of the city.

3) The Dawson – Located in Chicago’s West Town, yeah yeah yeah great food, drinks and patio, BUT they have $5-$9 HAPPY HOUR M-F !

Cheers Chicago

The unnamed “margarita”

A lot of you have been asking me about last weeks Spicy Margarita I showed off on my story on Cinco de Mayo ! That beauty was 💯 % made up that day by me and my boyfriend ( ok mostly him but I drank most of it… doesn’t that count for something!?)

It was delicious/ healthy/ clean / and spicy 🌶 so please find the rough version of the recipe below! Also haven’t named it yet! What would you name it?

The Unamed “Margarita”

Ingredients : 1 pitcher / 1 cucumber / 1 Lemon / 2 Jalapeños / Tequilla / sparkling water 💦

{ We used Patron Silver and La Croix Lime sparkling water with organic fruits from Whole Foods

1) Pour as Much Tequilla as you plan on drinking in the pitcher !

2) Cut up the two jalapeños ( its spicy so only one if you can’t take the heat and if you want more heat switch it up with Serrano or habenaro peps) and add them to the pitcher too.

3) Cut up the whole cucumber and throw that in there too.

4) Cover the picture and let sit for at least 2-4 Hours – the longer the more flavorful!

4)Then pour over ice half glass pitcher product / half glass sparkling water!

5) Cut up the lemon and add squeeze a slice to every fresh drink and add as garnish 🍹

Workout Gear 💪🏻

Happy Friday Friends!

Here’s a quick shopping guide of my top 3 workout wear essentials! I have at least three pairs of all of these (in different colors of course) because they work and are all UNDER $100, first two UNDER $50!! ($USD)

1) Nike Revolution 3 Running Shoes. They are very light weight and honestly just the most comfortable workout shoe I’ve ever worn! (Makes Them very travel friendly!!)

The ones in this image are the black/ aluminum ones!

And they are ON SALE at Finish Line for $49.98! SHOP HERE!

2) Nike Dry Element Women’s Long sleeve Running Top! They are so easy to just throw on over a sports bra/ dri fit so you don’t get wet when you sweat, and really soft/ so works out great when I end up just wearing my workout clothes all day until I finally force myself to hit the gym! ( This heather green is my favorite color option) Only $44.97 SHOP HERE!

3) Lululemon Inspire Tight II – I love these because they have a little mesh at the bottom (not in the thigh because come on ladies that’s not practical for working out ) but they still look fashionable and are a little tighter so they give you that compression feel, and they have pockets that ZIP!! They perfect running or lifting pant for $98.00 SHOP HERE!

 April Showers Shoes

⛈ April Showers bring May Flowers 🌺

And puddles, lots and lots of puddles ⛈

I have had many a pair of shoes ruined so decided it was time to find a pair (or three) of shoes to wear when it rains (because when it rains it pours.)

I wanted to find a little black boot that I could actually wear out and at night that was cute and waterproof. I also didn’t want to look like a fisherman in those big rain boots ( but thank you so much for wearing them fishermen and fisherwomen because I love 🐟)

Here are my top three finds! All under $100

1) Jeffrey Campbell ” Stormy” in Matte Black for $54.95

I mean when I think Texas I think RODEO 🐂

We enjoyed the Stock Yards, the shops, the cowboys 🤠 the bull riding 🤡 and the music 🎶 even some two stepping at Billy Bobs Texas

🚗➡️ Arlington to AT&T stadium to see a Cowboys Game for some live Monday Night Football  🏈

The tailgating was amazing: tacos, live music, Tvs and dancing. But you need to check out Boomer Jacks for some bar fun!
